Mommy or Daddy & Me (M&M) Soccer Program Quick Glance and Program Content

The following describes a program for preschoolers and younger youth to promote the game of soccer and a healthy lifestyle.  The Program is born from the expertise of the Metro Tulsa Soccer Clubs United (MTsc U).  The below characteristics define the MTsc U Mommy or Daddy & Me (M&M) Soccer Program.

Mommy or Daddy & Me (M&M) Soccer Program Description

The MTsc U Mommy or Daddy & Me (M&M) Soccer Program consists of group sessions involving one parent or guardian and their child both simultaneously participating in dynamic, virtually non-stop soccer and agility activities and games during 50-min. sessions.  Registration is for six (6) sessions through MTsc United’s online registration.  Participants choose the scheduled sessions they want to register for during the M&M season.  All session times may not be available due to participation.

ELIGIBILITY
The Mommy or Daddy & Me (M&M) Program is generally open to U2 (2 - 2 ½ years old) U3 (2 ½ - 3 ½ years old) and U4 (3 ½ to 4 ½ years old) youth athletes.  

FOCUS
The focus of the Program is on player participation along with one of their parents or guardians, the basic building blocks of soccer, a healthy active period of play, group friendships and lots of non-stop fun.  For a detailed description of the Program itself check out “MTsc M&M Program Content" PDF at the bottom of the page.

STAFF
MTsc U trainers conduct all group sessions.

REGISTRATION & FEES

6-Session Season Registration Fee is $84.00 jersey included.  Register online using the “ONLINE REGISTRATION” link on the home page of www.MetroTulsaSoccer.com.  Accepted forms of payment include MasterCard or Visa credit or debit cards, Discover Card and e-Checks.  A pro-rated cost may be available for mid-season registrations if registering after the second week of the season based on availability.  

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR SESSIONS
Please have your child wear his or her jersey that was provided at check-in.  What you must have for participation is the following:

  1. A single #3 soccer ball is required to be brought to all sessions for the youth participant
  2. A single #5 (preferable) soccer ball is required for the parent participant; MTsc U does have limited balls to borrow for parent use.
  3. Athletic shoes are required to be worn (no sandals allowed)
  4. Water

Shin guards are encouraged to be worn by youth participants but not required. Jerseys can be picked up at check in prior to your session.  MTsc U can be contacted if there are any questions at 918-298-0190.   

SESSION DAYS AND TIMES 

Unless notified by MTsc U or your MTsc U trainer, sessions and session seasons will be as follows:

Each season runs 6 weeks in length plus make-up options.

Fall season runs from roughly mid-September through October (subject to poor weather makeup days)

Spring season runs from roughly early April through mid-May (subject to poor weather makeup days)

Participants sign up for a specific class day and time (select 1 class from the choices below):

  • Monday evenings from 5:35 p.m. - 6:35 p.m. (U3/U4 participants = 2 1/2 - 4 1/2 year olds)
  • Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. or  10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. 

NOTE re: Saturdays: Final field schedules may require a shift in times by up to 15 minutes which if necessary, will be communicated prior to season start

All sessions are subject to the note below:

A make-up day(s) may be offered during the week following the season and an extra week could be added to the end of the season if inclement weather persists throughout the season.  Classes will be cancelled when the weather forecast is for temperatures below 45 degrees, rain, sleet and/or snow.  Otherwise, the above schedule applies until MTsc U announces changes.

SESSION LOCATION
All group sessions are held at the MTsc United SoccerPlex behind the MTsc U main office building on actual outdoor micro soccer fields located at 10715 S. Delaware Ave. in order to provide you and your young athlete with a familiarity to MTsc U micro soccer available to ages beginning at 3 ½ years old.  Directions to the location and information on the facility can be found on www.MetroTulsaSoccer.com under the tab "CONTACT/LOCATE US". 

COMMUNICATION AS TO SESSION CANCELLATIONS

For general program communication associated with scheduled and canceled sessions, MTsc U communicates to participants in the following manner:

  1. “Metro Tulsa Soccer Club” Facebook page posts (primary for real-time updates)
  2. "MetroTulsaSC" Twitter tweets (primary for real-time updates)
  3. Website www.MetroTulsaSoccer.comOFFICE, FIELD COMPLEX & WEEKDAY PROGRAM STATUS” (secondary for session on/off reminders)
  4. MTsc U eNews which are Club emails (for news and future changes or reminders)
  5. Reminders or mention by the trainer

If a session is cancelled due to inclement weather, a make-up day will be added at the end of the season or otherwise the participant can attend a session on any alternate day or time offered during the season (work with the trainer relative to interest). 

AVAILABILITY LIMITATIONS

Session groups will be limited to no more than twenty (20) youth participants and one of their parents or guardians per trainer.

MISSED CLASSES w/MAKE-UP OPTION

A participant may miss up to 1 of their classes if necessary and he/she will be allowed to attend a class during any of the other days/times offered during the season.  Participants need to work with their trainer to arrange for any planned make-up day so that their trainer can determine what can be accommodated in advance of their participation.
