Recreational/Friendship Team League (REC/FT) Program Description

The REC/FT Program focuses on the development of youth players where athletes can learn life lessons and develop positive character traits like good sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, working hard, persistence, honor of the game, and respect for self, officials, coaches, and opponents.

Each team has parent volunteer coaches (1 head coach and 1 assistant coach). One to two practices a week are held based on times and at locations as determined by the head coach. Team uniforms must be worn on game days. Each season a minimum of 8 games are played up to a maximum of 10 games each season (spring and fall). Each season there is a day designated for individual and team pictures taken by professional photographers.  For leagues U6 and below, all participants are eligible to receive a participation trophy at the end of the season.  For U7 & U8 leagues, all participants are eligible to receive a participation medal at the end of the season.  For U9 and older age divisions standings are kept and only the first and second place teams receive awards.  All U9 and older matches have paid officials on them as supplied by MTsc United.  All games for closed league teams are conducted at the MTsc United South complex and/or the MTsc United North complex.  Open league teams (U16 and older) play roughly half their games at their home fields and the remainder are played at various locations throughout eastern Oklahoma.
